Upcoming Tournaments at Fairlawn Golf

Fairlawn Golf is proud to host a variety of tournaments each season, welcoming golfers from all over Maine and beyond. Here’s a closer look at what’s coming up on our calendar:

May 23 – Maine Golf Play Weekend

This exciting event kicks off our tournament season with a bang. Hosted in conjunction with Maine Golf, the Play Weekend offers players a great opportunity to shake off the winter rust and enjoy friendly competition.

Whether you're participating as a single or part of a team, this event is about reconnecting with the sport in a laid-back environment. It’s perfect for golfers of all levels and a great introduction to the vibrant tournament scene here at Fairlawn.

June 14-15 – Spring Classic

A highlight of the early summer schedule, the Spring Classic is where fun meets focus. This tournament invites local players and members to test their skills across our meticulously maintained 18-hole course.

The Spring Classic also serves as a warm-up for more competitive events later in the summer. With its relaxed format and friendly spirit, it’s a great time to bring along your golf buddies and enjoy the camaraderie that defines Fairlawn Golf.

June 28 – Maine Golf Parent-Child Championship

Golf is a game of tradition, and few events celebrate that tradition quite like the Maine Golf Parent-Child Championship. This special tournament is open to parents and children of all ages and skill levels, making it a perfect family bonding experience.

Held all day across our championship course, the Parent-Child Championship allows families to team up and compete in a format that encourages communication, strategy, and shared joy. It's also a great way to introduce younger players to tournament golf in a supportive and scenic setting.

July 26–27  2025 Club Championship

The crown jewel of our tournament season is the 2025 Fairlawn Club Championship, held all day on July 26-27. This highly anticipated event brings out the best golfers in the Fairlawn community to compete for club bragging rights.

The format is structured and competitive, with flights and divisions based on skill level to ensure fair and exciting play for all. Expect a high-energy day filled with great golf, good sportsmanship, and plenty of post-round celebration.

Whether you're a longtime member or new to the course, the Club Championship is your chance to shine on the Fairlawn stage.

Why Fairlawn is the Perfect Tournament Venue

At Fairlawn Golf, we believe that a great tournament experience goes beyond the leaderboard. Our facilities are designed to complement every part of your visit—from tee-off to the 19th hole.

Our Championship Golf Course

Originally opened in 1963, Fairlawn’s 18-hole course is renowned for its rolling fairways, mature trees, and scenic backdrops. Yardages range from 4,737 to 6,300 yards, offering the right balance of challenge and playability for golfers of all abilities.

Each hole presents its own strategic demands, whether you're shaping a shot around a dogleg, attacking a guarded green, or managing a tricky putt. Our course conditions are carefully maintained to ensure firm fairways and true greens throughout the season.

In addition to great playability, our course layout flows smoothly from one hole to the next, making for a brisk, enjoyable round—ideal for tournament formats that keep things moving and competitive.

The Pub at Fairlawn Golf: Your 19th Hole Destination

After a competitive round, there’s no better place to relax than the Fairlawn Golf Pub. Our restaurant-bar is more than a convenient stop—it’s a social hub where tournament players, spectators, and members come together.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Locally Sourced Food & Drinks: Enjoy hearty meals, small bites, and a rotating selection of local craft beers and cocktails.
  • Comfortable Indoor Seating & Outdoor Deck: Whether you're looking to cool off inside or soak up the post-round sunshine on our deck, there's plenty of room to sit back and enjoy the view.
  • Screens for Sports Viewing: Catch up on PGA action or watch other tournaments while rehashing the highlights of your own round.
  • Friendly, Laid-Back Atmosphere: Our staff are as passionate about golf as our members are, creating a welcoming environment for first-time guests and longtime players alike.

Tournaments are about more than just the scorecard—they’re about memories. And many of those memories are made over a cold drink and great conversation after the final putt.
